Samsung Galaxy Note 3 gets Lollipop treatment before Note 4 in Russia

This was unexpected. Samsung has started to roll out the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update to the Galaxy Note 3 in Russia, beating the phablet’s successor (Galaxy Note 4) to the punch.


This is according to SamMobile, a site renowned for leaking accurate information on anything Samsung-related. According to the site, the Lollipop build number that is now being pushed out to units of the Galaxy Note 3 in Russia is N900XXUEBOA6. This brings features such as a redesigned interface, better performance, heads-up and lockscreen notifications, and  so much more to the Korean tech giant’s previous flagship phablet.

At the time of writing, Samsung has yet to roll out the Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 3 in the UK. However, we’re guessing that the update will be available for Note 3-wielding Brits soon. To check if the update is available, go to Settings > About phone > Software update menu.
