In the past, TENAA (Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center), the equivalent of the US FCC in China, has leaked images and specs of unannounced devices. Now it has leaked the yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J7008).
TENAA also mentions specs. According to the listing, the Galaxy J7 will sport a 5.5-inch 720p TFT screen, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 16 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, an octa-core processor with each core clocked at 1.4 GHz, and 1.5 GB of RAM. It will run Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop) out of the box. It measures 152.4 x 79.2 x 7.9 mm and will be clad in plastic. Pricing is yet to be determined, but we’re guessing the smartphone will be more on the affordable side.
Sadly, TENAA didn’t mention when Samsung was planning to lift the lid on the Galaxy J7, but, since the smartphone has been listed on the Chinese Authority’s database, we’re guessing it will be sooner than later. It is yet to be determined, however, if Samsung plans to launch the device in the UK.
