We know from previous reports that the Korean tech giant will officially unveil the Samsung Galaxy S6 at MWC 2015. The question is, however, when, since MWC starts on the 2nd of March and ends on the 5th of March. According to a report, Samsung will lift the lid on its next flagship as soon as the trade show begins – the 2nd of March.
The news comes to us courtesy of South Korea-based Chosun. Aside from revealing when exactly Samsung plans to introduce its next flagship, it also says that the biggest smartphone maker in the world “has developed multiple prototypes of the Galaxy S6 but has yet to decide which one to go with. One staffer with a subcontractor said the phone will have a casing in a metallic material but Samsung is weighing several options for the details.”
It adds that Samsung is “yet to decide whether to adopt a traditional smartphone layout for the screen or an edged screen with a menu bar on one or both edges.”
The report also has information to reveal about the LG G4’s unveiling, saying that it won’t make its debut at the trade show.
An anonymous LG executive told the site, “We rolled out the G3 in May last year so we do not plan to unveil the G4 at this year’s Mobile World Congress and spend more time perfecting the new phone.”
So what does LG have in store for us at MWC? According to the report, it will be a variety of wearables. One of which will be a “smartwatch equipped with its webOS smart TV platform.”
