Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (also known as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Note) made a brief appearance in a video. The device is said to be a bigger version of the 5.1-inch Galaxy S6 Edge. Now, an alleged press render of the S6 Edge Plus has leaked on Twitter.
The render above was leaked by @OnLeaks, a Twitter account renowned for leaking information on yet to be announced devices. According to the tweet, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus measures 154.45 x 75.80 x 6.85 mm. This suggests that the device will sport a 5.5-inch screen, not a 5.7-inch screen as previously rumoured.
Aside from the difference in size, the S6 Edge Plus will is said to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor with four ARM Cortex-A53, two ARM Cortex-A57 cores, and an Adreno 418 GPU, not a Samsung Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz. Furthermore, the device is said to become Samsung’s first smartphone to come with support for RAW photography, which will eventually be available for the S6 and the S6 Edge.
So when will we get to see the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus? According to past reports, the device will be launched in Q3 2013, meaning July to September.
