Lately, we’ve been hearing a lot about the unannounced Samsung Galaxy A8. The smartphone is said to be the thinnest smartphone ever to come from the Korean tech giant at only 5.94 mm. It has appeared in a video and recent hands-on photos. Now a report has allegedly leaked the devices price and release date.
The new rumour comes to us courtesy of French-speaking NWE, a reliable source of information on yet to be announced devices. According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy A8 will make its official debut in China on the 17th of July and be released on the same day.
As for pricing, the report claims that the Galaxy A8 will cost the Chinese equivalent of around £315. Sadly, it wasn’t mentioned if the smartphone will be available outside of China.
As for specs, the Galaxy A8’s rumoured specs include a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera, 16 Gb of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and a 3,050 mAh battery. It runs Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.
Of course, since this is anything but official, take it with a pinch of salt.
