We’ve seen the leaked renders and details of the yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, the tough as nails variant of the regular Galaxy S6 and the edged Galaxy S6 Edge, which is an indication that the smartphone will be making its debut soon. Now it seems the S6 Active’s product page has gone live by accident. Samsung has now taken down the page, but, luckily, we’ve got screenshots to show.
The page also reveals specs. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD), a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 32 GB of internal storage (unfortunately, no microSD card slot), a hear rate monitor, Samsung’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor, 3 GB of RAM, and a 2,550 mAh battery. It will run Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 Active is IP68-certified, which means it can be submerged in as much as 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes. Additionally, it comes with an Activity Zone app, which can be accessed via a dedicated Active key that’s found on the left side of the device. Activity Zone includes stuff like barometer, stopwatch, compass, weather information, and a shortcut to the S Health app.
The S6 Active’s renders that went live on Samsung’s website all bear US network operator AT&T’s logo, which is an indication that the smartphone will be an AT&T exclusive. Pricing and availability is yet to be announced.
