Recently, we’ve been hearing a lot about the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, the Korean tech giant’s rumoured phablet version of the regular Galaxy S6 Edge. We’ve seen the leaked press render; we’ve seen the “S6 Edge+” granted to Samsung by the USPTO, and we’ve seen the alleged cases made for the device. Now, new photos show the bigger edged phablet alongside its smaller counterpart.
The photos above were leaked by @OnLeaks, a Twitter account known for leaking accurate information on unannounced devices and source of the leaked press render of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. The set of photos show the S6 Edge Plus alongside the regular S6 Edge, showing the difference in size. It also confirms that the device is indeed a phablet.
According to past reports, the S6 Edge Plus measures 154.45 x 75.80 x 6.85 mm. It is said to sport a 5.5-inch to 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor with four ARM Cortex-A53, two ARM Cortex-A57 cores, and an Adreno 418 GPU instead of Samsung’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz under the hood, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Samsung is expected to lift the lid on the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in the coming weeks.
