After the Samsung Galaxy S5 generating disappointing sales, the Korean tech giant is said to be going back to the drawing board, re-planning its road back to success. The SM-E700H has been spotted, and is said to be a part of the company’s plan to get back in pole position.
Evidence of the SM-E700H was leaked not by an insider or source. It was leaked by Samsung itself via its website. If you hit the link and scroll down the line of text, you’ll see”<prf:Model>SM-E700H</prf:Model>”.
Specs-wise, there’s really nothing special about the SM-E700H. Notable features include a 5.5-inch 720p screen, a 1.5 GHz processor, and Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is nothing compared to today’s flagships. However, this may not be a bad thing.
If Samsung continues to compete with flagships such as the Apple iPhone 6 and Google Nexus 6, the high-end market’s attention will be divided. However, if it chooses to focus on the mid-range market, it may turn things around in 2015.
Samsung is rumoured to be cutting down on its smartphone lineup for 2015, but this doesn’t mean that the Korean tech giant will no longer make high-end devices. Word on the street is that it is redesigning the Galaxy S6 from the ground up. Rumoured features include an edge screen like the Galaxy Note 4 Edge.
Currently, not much is known about the SM-E700H, but we’re sure to get more details about the device in the coming weeks or months. Keep it here at Phones LTD for further updates.
