Samsung owns a research and development facility in Poland. So it makes sense for owners of Samsung-made devices in the country to get updates before anyone else in Europe. This is exactly what Galaxy Note 4 owners in the country are enjoying, as they are now getting the Android 5.0.1 (Lollipop) update for their phablets over-the-air.
SamMobile, the source of accurate information on anything Samsung-related, was first to report about the rollout of Lollipop for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in Poland. It brings a new look, a new feel, better performance, lock screen notifications, enhanced battery life, and so much more.
According to the report, the update doesn’t seem to have rolled out via Samsung’s Kies software. It is only available via an OTA update. This means that owners will have to wait for the update to be available for their device.
At the time of writing, the Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 4 in the UK has not rolled out yet, but if you want to check, go to Settings » About phone » Software updates menu.
