Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S5 now rolling out in the UK

The Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update has already rolled out to units of the Samsung Galaxy S5 in European countries such as Poland, Russia, and Spain. The question is, when will the update be available to units in the UK? The answer is now! Renowned Samsung Mobile Insider SamMobile was first to notice the rollout of the update.

There are two ways to get the latest version of Android running on your Samsung Galaxy S5. The first method is to simply connect your smartphone to your computer and update via Samsung’s Kies software. Note that you will have to update Kies to Kies 3 before you can update your S5 to Lollipop. The second method is via Samsung’s FOTA (Firmware-Over-The-Air) service. To update via FOTA, go to settings > system > about device > software update > update.
