Recently, we came across a tweet that leaked what appeared to be a limited edition of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha with back covers clad in snakeskin leather. Now the special variants of the smartphone have been unveiled by Samsung France. So how limited is limited? In this case, only 100 units of each colour option will be made. There are four versions, which means only 400 units will be made.
These limited edition versions of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha were designed by Free Lance and Jean-Baptiste Rautureau, and are designed for both sexes. The brown and grey are for men, while the burgundy and teal are for women. It has been confirmed that the rear cover is clad in real leather and not synthetic leather. However, what wasn’t confirmed was the type of leather. Each of these limited edition versions of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha will set you back €649 (almost £510).
To recap, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is a pretty solid device that sports a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (pixel density of 312 ppi), a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera that supports recording videos in 4K, a fingerprint scanner, a heart rate monitor, an Exynos 5430 octa-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and a 1,860 mAh battery. You get all of these in a 6.9 mm-thin profile.
