According to reports last week, Samsung was planning to release four new tablets this year, rumoured to be the follow-ups to the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note series. Now, one of these devices, believed to be the Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 7.0, has been spotted in India’s import/export database, Zauba. The site is known for spilling the beans on yet to be revealed devices.
The screenshot you see above shows that three versions of the 7-inch tablet with model number SM-T239 has entered India “for testing & evaluation.” After the testing & evaluation is done, the devices “will be destroyed.” A total of six units of the SM-T239 entered India.
So what does the listing have to reveal about the unannounced tablet? Three of them sport SIM card slots, while three do not suggesting Wi-Fi-only devices. Unfortunately, this all the listing reveals, but since its has entered India for testing purposes, we’re guessing the tablet will make its debut soon. Samsung may lift the lid on its new tablets at MWC 2015, which kicks off in Barcelona, Spain in early March.
