We know, thanks to previous leaks, that Samsung will be lifting the lid on the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (phablet version of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus) soon. Samsung has just posted a new teaser, and it looks like the two high-end phablets will be joined by a mystery tablet.
The image above was posted by Samsung Philippines (now taken down). It shows silhouettes of three devices. The two are obviously the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. The third device is much larger and is obviously a tablet.
Samsung has already launched its two high-end tablets – the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, so we’re wondering what the mystery tablet has to offer. We’re guessing it’s a more premium version of the Galaxy Tab S2. It also could be an edged version of the Tab S2, but we’re not sure about this since the edged screen can’t be seen in the teaser.
Going back to the Note 5 and the S6 Edge Plus, the two are expected to sport a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (QHD), a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with a 1/2.6″ sensor with OIS (optical image stabilisation), a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera, Samsung’s Exynos 7420 or 7422 CPU under the hood, and 4 GB of RAM.
Samsung is expected to lift the lid on the Galaxy Note 5, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, and the mystery tablet on the 13th of August at its Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event in New York City.
