The Apple iPhone is a favourite of both small and large Chinese manufacturers to clone. It seems that these firms are sensing that the new Samsung Galaxy S6 will be a huge hit, hence the emergence of the S6’s first clone.
Italian-speaking Samsung.hdblog.it spotted one of these clones via a Chinese site. It was put through a series of tests on AnTuTu, revealing that the clone looks exactly like the Galaxy S6, but its specs aren’t at all exciting. It sports a 1080p screen, a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor, and 1 GB of RAM. The S6 sports a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD) and a pixel density of 577 ppi, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) made by Sony, a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera, 32/64/128 GB of internal storage, Samsung’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, 3 GB of DDR4 RAM, LTE Cat.6 (300/50Mbps) connectivity, support for wireless charging, and a 2,550 mAh battery.
The only thing about this S6 Clone that’s worth writing about is its software. It runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box.
The point here is, make sure you are shelling out your hard-earned cash on the real deal. If not, you may end up with a pretty expensive clone.
