Recently, Samsung released the first promotional video of newly unveiled Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Now the South Korean tech giant has released the phablet’s first TV commercial.
First Samsung Galaxy Note 5 TV commercial goes live
The official Samsung Galaxy Note 5 promotional video is too long, which is why Samsung released a new 30-second TV commercial that promotes the new phablet. It highlights the device’s new design (clad in metal and glass just like the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge), its multitasking prowess, and the new S Pen stylus.
The pretty upbeat video shows what users can do with the S Pen. Aside from flipping, twirling, throwing, and passing the S Pen around, it also shows how the stylus can be a powerful tool, from multitasking, editing, to drawing on the 5.7-inch screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
The video also shows the newly designed S Pen. It now allows users to enjoy more from an auto-eject feature that pops out the stylus by simply pressing its top. It also allows users to write on the Note 5’s screen while the screen is off and Air Command. Lastly, the S Pen now allows users to write on PDF files.
Here’s the TV commercial:
No Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in the UK
In the US, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 can now be pre-ordered. It’s launch date is scheduled on the 21st of August. All major US network operators will be offering the phablet on the said date. SIM free versions of the device will set interested parties back $700 (around £446) for the most affordable version (32 GB storage option).
Sadly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will not be available in Europe, including the UK. Instead, Samsung has made the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (phablet version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge) available for pre-order in the UK.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus sports similar specs as the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. It too comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED QHD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (pixel density of 518 ppi), a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB storage options, no microSD card slot, a fingerprint reader embedded into the home button, Samsung’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery. It measures 154.4 x 75.8 x 6.9 mm, and weighs in at 153 g. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI slapped on top. Unlike the Note 5, the S6 Edge Plus does not come with an S Pen.
