We’ve been getting a number of leaks concerning the yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy A8, a device that is expected to be the slimmest smartphone ever to be made by the Korean tech giant. Now, new alleged leaked renders reveal more about the device’s design. It looks like the device is a cross between the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S6.
The render above was leaked by @OnLeaks, a Twitter account renowned for leaking information on yet to be announced devices. It posted an alleged press render of the Galaxy A8 in every angle. As we mentioned earlier, the device looks a lot like a cross between the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S6. It borrows the four protruding corners of the metal frame of the Note 4 and the front of the S6.
As for specs, we’ve learned from previous reports that the device is said to sport a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/1.9 lens, a 5-megapixel selfie-centric front-facing camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and a 3,050 mAh battery. It is said to be a mere 5.9 mm thick.
Word on the street is, the Samsung Galaxy A8 will be released in China on the 17th of July. As for pricing, it is said to cost the equivalent of £309 in China. It is yet to be determined if the smartphone will be available in the UK.
