Previous reports have claimed that the Korean tech giant has gone back to the drawing board, redesigning the Samsung Galaxy S6 from the ground up under “Project Zero.” One of the rumours claim that the S6 will sport an aluminium unibody, and now photos have been leaked allegedly showing the S6’s metal frame.
The photos you above come to us courtesy of French-speaking site NoWhereElese, a reputable source of information when it comes to anything Apple or Samsung. The site’s sources have sent it photos of what is claimed to be the aluminium unibody of the yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy S6, which we’ve been hearing about all over the internet.
Other rumoured specs include a dual-edged screen, a yet to be determined screen size with Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor in one variant, a Samsung-made Exynos CPU in the other, and 3 GB of RAM. It’s a dead cert that the device will run Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box. We’d actually be surprised if it didn’t.
Although NWE has a pretty solid reputation of being right on the button, still take this with a pinch of salt, since it is anything but official.
So when do we get to confirm if the leaks are accurate or not? Samsung is rumoured to be getting ready to lift the lid on its next flagship at CES 2015, which kicks off next month, or at MWC 2015, which kicks off in early March.
