Photo suggests Microsoft to change Lumia packaging

Microsoft is the new owners of Nokia’s Devices & Services division, and it looks like the Redmond firm is planning to change the packaging of Lumia devices.

Finnish site Muropaketti has leaked a photo, showing the alleged new packaging of the Nokia Lumia 630. The old packaging used by Nokia was a blue box that looked a lot like the packaging it used for its feature phones.

On the side of the box, you can still see the “Nokia” and “Lumia” monikers. Microsoft is said to be planning to replace these bandings with the “Surface” brand. We’re not sure this is good idea as the Lumia band is already well known.

Will Microsoft drop the “Lumia” band and replace it with “Surface”? Let us know what you think through a comment on our Phones LTD Facebook page.
