A tweet has revealed that Nokia is planning to release the Nokia Lumia 530, codenamed “Rock,” which seems to be the follow-up to the highly-popular entry level Windows Phone-powered handset the Nokia Lumia 525 (pictured below).
The tweet comes from @evleaks, A Twitter account notorious for leaking information on yet-to-be-unveiled devices. It tweeted, “Nokia Rock = Lumia 530.”
Apart from the model number and codename, not much is mentioned. However, the model number does suggest that it is related to the Lumia 520 and Lumia 525. Since the two are pocket-friendly devices, it’s likely that the Lumia 530 will be an entry-level offering as well. We’re guessing the rumoured device will sport a similar 4-inch display.
There are other Lumia devices that have been leaked in the past. These include the Lumia 630, Lumia 635, and the Lumia 930. These rumoured Lumias are likely to run Windows Phone 8.1. Microsoft is expected to release this new version of Windows Phone in April.
