Motorola has announced that it will be hosting three simultaneous events on the 28th of July in London, Sao Paulo, and New York. The Lenovo-owned smartphone maker is expected to lift the lid on the Moto X 3rd Gen and the Moto G 3rd Gen at the event.
To recap, the Moto X 3rd Gen is expected to sport a version with a 5.2-inch and a version with a 5.7-inch (exclusive to US network operator verizon) Quad HD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (pixel density of 565 ppi), a 16-megapixel Clear Pixel rear-facing camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation), a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera, 32 GB to 64 GB of internal storage, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, an Adreno 430 GPU, 4 GB of RAM, a fingerprint scanner, and the new Type-C USB port. It will run Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.
The Moto G 3rd Gen is expected to sport a 5-inch screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor. It is expected to be available in several variants. One is said to offer 8 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM, while another is said to come with 16 GB of internal storage and 2 GB of RAM. It is said to have IPx7-certified, meaning it will be water-resistant.
