A Huawei-made device with model number M200-UL00 has appeared in an 18-second video, posted on YouTube by SteveHemmerstoffer (man behind French-speaking site NWE and Twitter account OnLeaks). The M200-UL00 is claimed to be a prototype of the unannounced Huawei Mate 8, which is expected to make its official debut on the 2nd of September with Huawei saying that it will “bring you a taste of the flagship flagship” at that particular date.

According to previous reports, the Huawei Mate 8 sports a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (QHD) (pixel density of 490 ppi), a massive 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera, a fingerprint scanner found under the camera, Huawei’s Kirin 950 octa-core processor, and a more massive battery (the Ascend Mate 7 comes with a 4,100 mAh battery.
There are said to be two versions of the Huawei Mate 8. The regular version is said to come with 32 GB of internal storage, while the more high-end version is said to sport 64 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM.
As we mentioned earlier, the Huawei Mate 8 is expected to make its official debut on the 2nd of September.
