Just recently, we came across alleged renders of the 5.2-inch Google Nexus 5 (2015) made by LG based on alleged leaked schematics. Soon after, renders that allegedly show the Google Nexus 6 (2015) phablet have surfaced online. The renders are also allegedly based on leaked schematics.
Alleged renders and video of the Google Nexus 6 (2015) phablet made by Huawei
Like the renders of the yet to be announced Google Nexus 5 (2015) made by LG, the renders and video shown below come to us courtesy of @OnLeaks (Twitter account behind French-speaking NWE, a site known for leaking accurate information on yet to be announced devices) and uSwitch. The renders are also said to be based on leaked schematics of the Google Nexus 6 (2015) phablet made by Huawei.
The leaked renders reveal that, like the 5.2-inch Google Nexus 5 (2015) made by LG, the Google Nexus 6 (2015) phablet made by Huawei will sport a fingerprint scanner found on the back of the device, under the phablet’s rear-facing camera. The device is also shown sporting dual front-facing speakers and a USB Type C port, meaning users no need to worry about plugging in the micro USB wrong.
The renders also reveal that the Huawei Nexus 6 will sport a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). Reports also say that the Chinese phone maker is testing a 5.5-inch version of the device. This version’s screen also offers a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The 5.7-inch variant is said to measure 159.4 x 78.3 x 6.6/8.5 mm.
As for the colour option shown in the renders, uSwitch says that the colour used in the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) is “pure speculation,” which means we may see totally different colour options once the device sees the light of day.
So when are we expecting to see the Google Nexus 6 (2015) made by Huawei make its official debut? The device is expected to make its official debut alongside the Google Nexus 5 (2015) made by LG in the second half of October, which is usually the time the search giant lifts the lid on new Nexus devices running the latest version of Android. In this case, Android M.
Of course, since we can’t confirm if these renders are really based on leaked schematics of the Google Nexus 6 (2015) made by Huawei, take them with a pinch of salt.
