Huawei P8 in prototype chassis with thin bezels allegedly leaked

Wondering what the Huawei P8 (according to reports, Huawei will be dropping the “Ascend” moniker in future releases) will look like? The Chinese firm is yet to lift the lid on its next flagship, but it seems the yet to be announced smartphone has been leaked on Twitter.

The Twitter account responsible for leaking the photos you see above is @fx57. In two separate tweets, he shows what is claimed to be the front and back of the P8. The tweet adds that it sports a prototype chassis. From what we can see, it seems the P8 will look similar to its predecessor the P7, sports thin bezels, and will be extremely thin.

@fx57 also reveals specs. He says that the Huawei P8 will sport a 5.2-inch 1080p screen, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilisation, Huawei’s Kirin 930 octa-core processor, 3 GB of RAM, and a 2,600 mAh battery. It will run Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box.

So when do we get to see the Huawei P8? The Chinese firm is expected to lift the lid on its next flagship in April.
