Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) specs
Chinese-speaking MyDrivers was first to spot the listing (screenshot above) on Geekbench. It shows a device codenamed “Huawei Angler,” which is believed to be the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015).
So what does the test result have to reveal? It reveals that the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2 GHz , four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, and an Adreno 430 GPU under the hood. This is alarming news since the Snapdragon 810 is known to suffer from overheating issues. Sony, however, seems to have remedied the problem by applying thermal paste (a substance used to regulate heat emitted by processors of PCs and laptops) on top of the said CPU. It is yet to be determined if Huawei has employed a similar heat management technique. Going back to the listing, the phablet also sports 3 GB of RAM. Lastly, the test results reveals that the device will run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box.
Previous reports have revealed that the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) will sport a fingerprint scanner found on the rear casing. It is said to sport a metal frame and a polycarbonate casing. Its 5.7-inch screen is said to have a resolution of 1140 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). Its camera combo is said to consist of a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera. It is said to come with 64 GB of internal storage, with the option to add more storage space with microSD support. Lastly, the device is said to support a USB Type-C connector, which means you never have to worry about plugging the microUSB connector the wrong way.
So when will we get to see the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) make its official debut? Google is expected to lift the lid on the new phablet on the 29th of September in San Francisco. Additionally, the Nexus 6 (2015) phablet made by Huawei will not be the only Nexus device to make its debut at the event. The LG-made 5.2-inch Nexus 5X smartphone is expected to make its official debut at the event as well.
Going back to the test results, the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) scored 1156 in the single-core test and 3641 in the multi-core test. The LG Nexus 5X also made an appearance on Geekbench, scoring 1082 in the single-core test and 3298 in the multi-core test.
