Although Google nor Huawei are yet to confirm the yet to be announced Huawei Nexus 6P phablet, leaked specs, renders, photos, and benchmark results all suggest that the search giant will lift the lid on the new Nexus phablet on the 29th of September. To give more credence to the rumours and leaks, the device’s colour options have been revealed by a newly leaked render.
Huawei Nexus 6P colour options
The render above was leaked by Android Police, a site that has been actively leaking information on the upcoming Nexus phablet. The render shows that the Huawei Nexus 6P will be available in the following colour options: white, black, gold, and aluminium/silver. Past leaks have revealed the white and sliver colour options, but this is the first time we’ve seen the gold and black colour options.
To recap, previous reports have revealed that the Huawei Nexus 6P will sport a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Its camera combo consists of the 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with laser autofocus assist and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera. Internal storage options are said to include 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB versions. Unfortunately, this also suggests that there will be no support for a microSD card, as it would make sense for Google to make Nexus owners use its cloud services instead of using a microSD card. Under the hood will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2 GHz, four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, and an Adreno 430 GPU, coupled with 3 GB of RAM. Other rumoured specs include dual front-facing speakers, a fingerprint sensor found on the back of the device, and the new USB Type-C reversible connector, which means no more plugging in the connector the wrong way. Of course, like all Nexus devices before it, the Nexus 6P is expected to run an unadulterated version of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box.
The Huawei Nexus 6P phablet is not the only Nexus device expected to make its official debut on the 29th of September. The LG Nexus 5X is expected to be officially unveiled alongside the Huawei-made Nexus phablet. According to reports, the two new Nexus devices will be put up for pre-order on the 13th of October.
