Previously, reports said that the HTC One for Windows Phone, a variant of the Android-powered HTC One (M8) that runs Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8.1, would be launched in the US by network operator Verizon Wireless. This led others to believe that the device would be exclusive to the US. However, the device has been spotted by WP Central on Dutch carrier Telfort‘s website, suggesting that it will also be available in Europe. The image has been pulled and replaced by the Sony XPERIA Z2. Luckily, we have screenshots (see below), showing the rumoured device.
Here’s a leaked render of the HTC One for Windows Phone for Verizon.
According to previous reports, the HTC One for Windows Phone will sport the same specs as the HTC One (M8). It is said to sport a 5-inch 1080p screen, BoomSound front-facing speakers, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, and a 4-megapixel UltraPixel Duo rear-facing camera.
HTC will be hosting a press event on the 19th of August. We’re expecting the HTC One for Windows Phone to make its debut by then.
