The new HTC One M9 sports a new 20-megapixel camera and a slip-resistant casing. Despite these subtle design changes, it still looks a lot like its predecessor the HTC One (M8). The smartphones look so much alike that even the Taiwanese phone maker got confused.
The image you see above was posted by HTC USA on its official Facebook page. If you click on the link provided, you’ll notice that the image has been taken down. Why? The post was supposed to promote the HTC One M9’s font-facing BoomSound stereo speakers. The only problem is that the image above shows the HTC One (M8), not the HTC One M9.
If you’re unfamiliar with the HTC One M9, apart from the BoomSound speakers and 20-megapixel rear-facing camera, other specs include a 5-inch 1080p screen, a 4-megapixel Ultrapixel front-facing camera, 32/64 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (as much as 128 GB), Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor under the hood with four cores clocked at 2 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, 3 GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 2,840 mAh battery. It runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with HTC’s Sense 7.0 UI slapped on top.
