In the recent past, we came across reports that claim HTC is cooking up an entry-level tablet code named “H7.” Now the unannounced device has been spotted on Zauba, India’s import/export database.
The listing reveals that the H7 tablet will sport a 7-inch screen, 16 GB of internal storage, dual SIM support, a quad-core processor with each core clocked at 1.2 GHz, and 1 GB of RAM. It entered India as a “sample” for research and development. It is likely to run Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box. These specs reveal that the tablet is more an entry-level device rather than a mid-range or high-end device.
As for pricing, the listing reveals that the H7 costs $150 (around £95). This means that the entry-level tablet will cost under £130 when launched.
Sadly, it is yet to be determined when HTC will lift the lid on the entry-level H7. However, since the device is being tested in India, we’re guessing the tablet will be officially unveiled anytime soon.
