Last month, TENAA, China’s equivalent of the US FCC, certified the rumoured HTC One X9. The Chinese authority posted images of the unannounced device as well as some of its specs, which it is known to do. Now, the yet to be official smartphone made by the Taiwanese phone maker posed for camera in new leaked photos.
The photos above allegedly show the unannounced HTC One X9, which were leaked by Chinese-speaking CNMO. The four new photos look a lot like the images posted on TENAA.
According to past reports, the mid-range HTC One X9 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (Full HD). Under the hood is expected to be a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, coupled with 2 GB of RAM. 16 GB of internal storage is expected to be on board. If this isn’t enough, it does feature a microSD card slot (as much as 1 TB) for additional storage options. Its camera combo consists of a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for snapping selfies and video chat. The HTC One X9 is expected to run Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop) out of the box. As you can see, the One X9’s specs are more mid-range than high-end. Previous reports believed that the X9 would be a high-end device.
Although it is yet to be determined when HTC is planning to lift the lid on the HTC One X9, we’re guessing it will be soon, since the device has been certified by TENAA.
If you’re more interested in a high-end device made by HTC, reports are claiming that the Taiwanese phone maker’s next flagship will make its official debut after the release of the HTC One X9. At the moment, insiders agree that HTC’s next flagship, which will not be called the “One M10” rumours claim, will come packed with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC under the hood. The Snapdragon 820 SoC has allegedly gone through tests on a couple of benchmark sites, and has scored high.
