Back in June, Google announced Android L (Android 5.0), which is the latest version of their operating system. However, we are yet to find out what the “L” in Android L stands for. The search giant released a teaser video, showing the possible sweets starting with the letter L. These include Lemon Meringue Pie, Lava Cake, Lady Fingers, and Lemon Drop. The question is, which one is it?
Here’s the video:
At the end of the video, Google says that “there can only be one L.” This means that only one of the sweets mentioned above will be the “one L.” It’s also possible that none of these will be the sweets used. According to past reports, Google was going to to use either Licorice or Lollipop. However, neither one of the two was mentioned in the video.
Aside from the Android L’s moniker, Google is also expected to lift the lid on the Nexus 6 (or Nexus X) made by Motorola and the Nexus 9 made by HTC. It is also expected to officially announce Android Wear 2.0.
Will the L in Android L stand for Lemon Meringue Pie, Lava Cake, Lady Fingers, Lemon Drop, Licorice, or Lollipop? Let us know what you think through a comment on our Phones LTD Facebook page.
