Various rumours have claimed that Apple is cooking up the iPhone 6C (concept shown below), a smaller-screened iPhone. Unlike the iPhone 5C, the iPhone 6C is said to clad in aluminium, offering a more premium look and feel. Reports have said that the smaller iPhone will be available in the first half of 2016, but a tweet is saying that we will see the rumoured device sooner than expected.
The new rumour comes to us courtesy of serial leakster Evan Blass (aka @evleaks). He tweeted, “Sounds like iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, and 6c will all arrive concurrently.” Normally, we tell you to take this information with a pinch of salt, but, since Mr. Blass is behind the rumour, it may just be true.
Currently, little is known about the Apple iPhone 6C. According to previous reports, it will be clad metal and will come with a slightly bigger battery at 1,715 mAh. The iPhone 5C comes with a 1,500 mAh battery. Additionally, its processor is said to be made with the FinFET technology, using either Samsung’s 14nm production method, or TSMC’s 16nm process. Lastly, the rumoured smartphone is said to sport a 4-inch screen.
Apple is expected to lift the lid on its next iPhones on the 9th of September. We’ll see by then if this rumour is true or not.
