Apple started a pretty interesting tradition in Japan called the “Lucky Bag” promotion, where Apple Stores and retailers stuffed bags with goodies with a few bags containing premium Apple products. So what were the premium items in these bags this year? Unfortunately, they didn’t contain an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. Read on to find out.
According to Japanese-speaking blog MacOtakara, Apple Stores in Japan sold approximately 300 bags worth from around £420 to £840. Apple fans purchased these bags at a bargain price of around £200, with no clue as to what was inside the bags.
The bags contained Incase ICON Slim Pack backpacks, with an Apple TV, a special New Year’s edition of the Mophie powerstation, a pair of Beats PowerBeats2, and an iTunes gift card valued at a little bit over £5 inside.
The really lucky bag contained an 11-inch Apple MacBook Air and accessories such as a limited edition Power Support Air Jacket. Another bag contained an Apple iPad Air 2, while another contained an iPad Mini 3. Most of the bags contained an iPod Touch.
