Although neither Apple nor Beats Audio have officially announced the purchase of the premium headset manufacturer by the Cupertino firm, we all know that the deal will push through as Dr. Dre (one of Beats Audio’s co-founders) has been dubbed by Hip Hop world as the first rapper billionaire. A tweet and video selfie by Dr. Dre also confirms the deal. Now, according to a new rumour, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine (another co-founder of Beats Audio) will be given senior positions at Apple once the deal pushes through.
The news comes to us via Wall Street Journal. According to the business-centric news agency, Iovine is rumoured to take a role as a special adviser to Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. It’s still unclear, however, what role will be given to Dr. Dre.
Of course, since neither company has officially announced the deal, take this with a pinch of salt. However, one this is certain. Both Dre and Iovine are sure to be billionaires once the deal is done.
