Photos showing Rose Gold iPhone 6S leaked

Since Apple is expected to lift the lid on the Apple iPhone 6S and the Apple iPhone 6S Plus on the 9th of September, we’ve been coming across a number of leaks across the web involving the unannounced iPhones. Now we’ve come across photos that claim to show the iPhone 6S’ “Rose Gold” colour option.

The photos above were leaked by Chinese-speaking Daliulian. Although we can’t confirm if the photos really show the rose gold casing of the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus, we can say that it’s possible that the Cupertino firm is cooking up the new iPhone colour option, since it has made the colour option available for the Apple Watch. Note that in the pictures the rose gold iPhones look more pink than rose gold.

If Apple is cooking up a rather pinkish rose gold colour option of the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus, this is the first time Apple will be using this colour on its metal-clad iPhone. Apple has used the colour pink in one of its past iPhones, but this was the plastic-clad Apple iPhone 5C.

Aside from making a rose gold colour option for the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus, the two are expected to have Force Touch on board, which was first seen on the Apple Watch. The new iPhones are also expected to be clad in Series 7,000 aluminium, which will prevent the bendgate fiasco that plagued the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S from ever happening. In the camera department, the two new iPhones are expected to sport 12-megapixel rear-facing cameras and 5-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric cameras, which is a bump up from the 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel combo used by last year’s iPhones. Under the hood is said to be Apple’s new triple-core A9 processor, coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Reports also say that Force Touch has forced Apple to make the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S 0.2 mm thicker than their predecessors, which means the two will be 7.1 mm-thick and 7.3 mm-thick respectively.

Recent reports have also claimed that Apple is cooking up a third iPhone, which will join the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus next month. This mystery iPhone is said to sport a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (FHD). However, it will only sport am 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, unlike the 12-megapixel rear-facing cameras of the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus.
