New leaked images (see below) of what seems to be schematics of both the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6L reveal the devices’ dimensions and few more details.
These images were leaked by French-speaking iGen, which seem to have been leaked by an insider from Foxconn, as the schematics clearly show its logo.
The “N61” is the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, while the “N56” is the 5.5-inch iPhone 6L. The two are compared to the “N51,” which is the iPhone 5S.
The iPhone 5S’ dimensions are 123.8×58.6×7.6mm and weighs in at 112g. The N61’s dimensions are 138.14×66.97×6.9mm (weight not mentioned), while the N56’s are 158.0×77.12x7mm and weighs in at 184.6g.
According to previous reports, the next iPhone is said to be at least 7mm thick. This leak confirms this, revealing the N56 will be a mere 7.67mm thick. The thickness of the N61 was not mentioned. It also confirms a previous leak, revealing that the camera will protrude from the chassis.
From what we can see, both models will look like the dummy or mockup units we’ve been seeing a lot of in previous leaks.
Of course, since this is anything but official, take it with a pinch of salt. Anyway, you won’t have to wait very long to find out if the rumours are true or not, with Apple expected to lift the lid on its next iPhones on the 9th of September.
