Video leaks iPhone 6S screen and logic board

Apple is expected to lift the lid on the Apple iPhone 6S and the Apple iPhone 6S Plus soon, which is why components of the smartphones have begun to show up in leaks. In this latest leak, the former’s screen and logic board have been shown in a new video.

Screen and logic board

Here’s the video:

The video above comes to us courtesy of MacRumors. It shows the alleged screen and logic board of the Apple iPhone 6S, put together with Apple iPhone 6 parts. The video shows the device booting up. While booting up, a gear icon is shown. Due to the parts’ incompatibility, the boot up doesn’t go past the gear icon when the smartphone is turned on.

In the middle of the short video, a black gloved individual lifts screen and shows the logic board. The new A9 chip is shown included with the logic board, but doesn’t have “A9” stamped on the processor. We’ve learned from a previous report that the A9 chip will be a triple-core processor.

Going back to the Apple iPhone 6S, it is said that the Cupertino firm’s next iPhone will come with improved radio hardware, with the Qualcomm MDM9635M LTE baseband modem and the Qualcomm WTR3925 radio frequency transceiver chip on board. The two should allow the iPhone 6S’ users to enjoy more from faster 4G LTE speeds with network operators who offer faster 4G LTE connectivity.

As for the screen, Force Touch (a feature that first made its debut with the Apple Watch) wasn’t shown in the video, but it does show additional shielding found on the back of the screen. We’ve seen this shielding before. They can be found protecting components from heavy touch use with the Apple Watch.

Aside from the the Qualcomm MDM9635M LTE baseband modem, the Qualcomm WTR3925 radio frequency transceiver chip, Force Touch, and the A9 triple-core chip, the Apple iPhone 6S and the Apple iPhone 6S Plus are rumoured to come with a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 2 GB of RAM, and a larger capacity non-removable battery. Additionally, the new iPhones are said to be clad in Series 7000 Aluminium to prevent the bendgate fiasco from ever happening again.

So when do we get to see Apple lift the lid on the Apple iPhone 6S and the Apple iPhone 6S Plus? According to previous reports, the Cupertino firm will officially unveil its two new iPhones on the 9th of September and launch the two in the same month.

Of course, since we can’t confirm if these components really belong to the Apple iPhone 6S, take it with a pinch of salt.
