Apple iPhones seem to get bigger and bigger. This 2014, the Cupertino firm launched a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and a massive 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus phablet (the biggest smartphone out of Apple’s lineup ever). By doing so, it satisfied it’s fan’s demand for a bigger screen. However, what about those who miss the more compact iPhones of the past? According to a report, Apple is planning to satisfy this niche with a 4-inch iPhone for next year.
The news comes to us courtesy of Chinese-speaking Feng. The report says that Apple will launch its smaller iPhone in the second half of 2015. Apple is trying to keep a tight lid on its 4-inch iPhone plans, but it seems its suppliers can’t seem to keep their mouths shut hence the leak.
The report adds that the smaller 4-inch iPhone will target Apple fans that prefer one-handed operation and women who have smaller hands. We all know how bigger screens tend to be strenuous to use with one-hand operations.
The question is, what will the device be called? Apple reportedly will discontinue the production of the iPhone 5C, it’s cheaper but not so affordable offering that was launched alongside the iPhone 5S. That in mind, we’re guessing it will be called the iPhone 6C. Apple is reportedly planning to call the follow-up to the iPhone 6 the iPhone 6S.
Of course, since this is all speculation, take it with a pinch of salt.
