Apple Lucky Bag in Japan could contain an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus

Apple Stores in Japan have a pretty interesting tradition that has been going on for years. Every year, stores stuff bags called Lucky Bags (Fukubukuro) with Apple products, and sell them for less than what they are worth. In early 2014, the Lucky bags contained things like an 11-inch MacBook Air and red MacBook Air jacket, Apple Magic Mouse, Pill Speaker by Beats, a New Year’s Apple shirt and more. Random bags contained a surprise, including an iPad Air or an iPad Mini. The bags cost the yen equivalent of around £220. In early January of next year, these Lucky Bags could contain an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.

The Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus are the hottest-selling smartphones of 2014. This said, we’re sure tons of Apple fans in Japan will be snatching up a Lucky Bag for the chance to get their hands on one of the two devices mentioned. Other surprises expected to be in the bag include iPods or other popular hardware or accessories made by the Cupertino firm.

So when will the Apple Lucky Bag promotion start next year? Apple announced that the promotion will start on the 2nd of January. Customers in Japan can get their hands on one Lucky Bag per day.
