Italian-speaking HDblog has received an invitation (see below) from Microsoft to attend its press event, which kicks off on the 2nd of March at Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, Spain. Now that we know the software giant will be hosting an event at the trade show, the question now is what new device should we expect from Microsoft?
Sadly, according to previous reports, Microsoft will not be lifting the lid on a new flagship at MWC 2015 next month. Reports say that we’ll be seeing a new high-end Lumia device in September instead.
At this point, reports vary on what they think will be unveiled at the trade show by Microsoft. Some reports say that it will be an entry-level addition to the Lumia 6xx series. Other reports say that MWC 2015 is reserved for the follow-up to the affordable 6-inch Nokia Lumia 1320 phablet. Lastly, reports are also saying that this will be the event Microsoft lifts the lid on the RM-1072 (model number), which is believed to be a more affordable version of the Lumia 830. The unannounced device sports a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, an 8.7-megapixel rear-facing PureView camera, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor. It could cost around £180.
Of course, this is all speculation for now, so take it with a pinch of salt.
