Back in October, the unannounced Microsoft Lumia 650 in black was leaked online. It’s been a while since we’ve heard about the affordable Lumia said to be codenamed “Saana,” until now.
Microsoft Lumia 650 leaked again
The image seen above shows the white colour option of the Microsoft Lumia 650, which was leaked on Chinese-speaking Baidu. From what we can see, the only difference between the two is the colour. Everything else seems to be the same, which means the device leaked now and in October are one and the same.
Microsoft’s first Windows 10-powered smartphones are the high-end Microsoft Lumia 950 and Microsoft Lumia 950 XL and the entry-level Microsoft Lumia 550. It’s possible that the Microsoft Lumia 650 could be the fourth smartphone to run Windows 10. That’s if the Microsoft Lumia 850, which has also been making rounds around the rumour mill, beats it to the punch.
According to past reports, the Microsoft Lumia 650 features a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (HD), making it larger that the Lumia 550, which features a 4.7-inch 720p screen. However, it will be smaller than the Microsoft Lumia 950 and the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, which feature 5.2-inch and 5.7-inch screens respectively. Both high-end devices feature Quad HD screens (1440 x 2560 pixels). Other than the screen size and resolution, other Lumia 650 specs still remain a mystery, but we’re more than certain that its hardware is nothing worth writing about.
Sadly, we still have no idea when Microsoft is planning to lift the lid on the Lumia 650, but, since the device has been leaked online, we’re guessing the device will make its official debut soon.
Although we don’t expect the Lumia 650’s spec sheet to be impressive, affordable Windows-powered devices are known to do well in emerging markets or for buyers who are looking for a more pocket-friendly choice.
