Earlier this week, we came across what was claimed to be a leaked press render of the unannounced Microsoft Lumia 850 – the software giant’s rumoured metal-clad mid-range Windows 10-powered smartphone. If you want to see more of the said device, we’ve come across a gorgeous concept based on the leaks concerning the smartphone.
Microsoft Lumia 850 concept
The Microsoft Lumia 850 concept seen above was created by PhoneDesigner. The artist based his concept on what we’ve seen in the past and added a few more touching here and there. The result is simply gorgeous.
The yet to be announced Microsoft Lumia 850 is said to be known internally as “Honjo.” According to past reports, the Microsoft Lumia 850 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. This means that the screen will have a pixel density of 386 ppi. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, which is an octa-core processor with eight Cortex A53 cores clocked as much as 1.7 GHz and an Adreno 405 to handle graphics. On the front of the device is said to be a front-facing LED flash and an infrared scanner. The Lumia 850 will reportedly be 6.92 mm-thin and will be clad in metal for that more premium look and feel. Other specs are yet to be determined at this point. It’s a dead cert that the device will run Windows 10 out of the box.
Since the Microsoft Lumia 850 has been making rounds around the rumour mill, we’re guessing that the device will make its official debut soon. However, whispers circulating in the internet are also saying that the device may be cancelled. We’re hoping this isn’t the case.
