Check out these LG G5 3D renders

Earlier in January, diagrams surfaced that claim to show the LG G5. The diagrams revealed that the volume buttons have been moved from the back to the left side of the device. The diagrams also showed thinner bezels and a curved back that is believed to offer users a much better grip. Recently, alleged cases for the device surfaced, which also confirmed the new location of the volume buttons (from the back to the left side of the device). The renders also revealed that the LG G5 would feature a dual rear-facing camera setup and a fingerprint scanner found under the rear camera. Now, new 3D renders of the device that are based on the diagrams and case renders have surfaced, giving us a better view of the upcoming flagship.

The 3D renders seen above were created by Techconfigurations, which were based on the leaked diagrams and case renders. The site claims that the LG g5 will feature a 5.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). Under the hood is said to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, which is a new and more powerful quad-core processor with an Adreno 530 GPU to handle graphics, coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The dual camera setup is said to consist of a 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel sensor. This new rear-facing camera setup is said to allow users to change the field of focus after an image is captured. This camera also comes with 4K video recording support and optical image stabilisation. The front-facing camera is said to be an 8-megapixel snapper that will take care of snapping selfies and video chat. It is said to feature a reversible Type-C USB port. Lastly, it is expected to be 8.2 mm-thick, which is slightly thinner than the LG G4.

Of course, since this is anything but official, take this with a pinch of salt.

LG will be hosting a press event on the 21st of February – a day before Mobile World Congress 2016 kicks off in Barcelona, Spain. We’re expecting the LG G5 to make its official debut at the event. Samsung is also expected to lift the lid on its next flagship (Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) at the trade show on the 21st of February.
