LG V10 coming to Europe this quarter

The new LG V10 was previously only available in South Korea. LG has just announced that their new phablet is now available in the US. So when will the device be available in the UK? Read on for more on the story.

LG announced that the LG V10 is now available in key markets around the world. These include the US, China, and Hong Kong. As for other markets such as Canada, Europe, other markets around Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, they too will get the new phablet, but the South Korean phone maker is yet to announce when this will happen. All it was willing to say that the device will be available in Europe this quarter.

Going back to the LG V10’s launch in the US, network operator T-Mobile is the first to offer the device to its customers. AT&T is the second carrier to offer the device to its customers. It has put the phablet up for pre-order, but will only make the device available to its customers on the 6th of November. Verizon has also announced that it will be offering the device, but failed to mention when it will be selling the V10.

The LG V10 is a tough nut to crack. It rocks a stainless steel frame and is coated in a material called Dura Skin on the back and the bottom. LG says that Dura Skin offers “added protection from direct impacts to the device.” Although the device is tough, it isn’t water resistant. In terms of specs the phablet sports a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). This works out to a pixel density of 513 ppi. The second 2.1-inch screen has a resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels. This works out to a pixel density of 513 ppi. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor with an Adreno 418 GPU, coupled with 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM can be found under the hood. The device comes with 64 GB of internal storage. For more storage options, the V10 comes with a microSD card slot (as much as 2 TB). It supports 4G LTE-A (Cat.6), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and USB 2.0. In the photography department, the device rocks a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS 2.0 and dual 5-megapixel front-facing camera that allow users to snap a 120 degree wide angle selfie. It features a 3,000 mAh removable battery to keep everything going. It measures 8.6 mm-thick and weighs in at 192 g. The LG V10 runs Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.
