Back at CES 2016, which kicked off in Las Vegas in January, LG rolled introduced two new affordable devices the LG K10 and the LG K4, which are the first two devices of the new LG K Series. Now the South Korean phone maker has announced that the two will be available in Europe this week.
LG K10 and LG K4 to launch in Europe this week
In a press release, LG announced that the LG K10 and the LG K4 will be available “in key global markets including CIS and Europe starting this week.” The two will also be available in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia “in the weeks to come.”
To recap, LG’s new K Series offers a “premium look and feel” and “advanced camera features” at an affordable price. The K10 features a glossy pebble design, complemented by a new 2.5D Arc Glass. The woven back cover provides “optimal grip,” which prevents the phone from slipping out of owners’ hands.
The LG K10 targets “a younger audience who enjoy consuming content on their smartphones and actively sharing on social media.” It features a 5.3-inch HD In-cell Touch screen. Under the hood is a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, or a 1.14 GHz octa-core processor for the LTE version (depending on the market), and a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor for the 3G version. Its camera combo consists of a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel front-facing camera (depending on the market) for the LTE version, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel front-facing camera (depending on the market) for the 3G version. RAM options include 2 GB, 1.5 GB, and 1 GB versions. Storage options include 16 GB and 8 GB options. It features a 2,300 mAh battery. Colour options include White, Indigo, and Gold. It measures 146 x 74.8 x 8.8 mm. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.
The LG K4, according to LG, “is an entry-level device with best-in-class practicality.” The device features a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen. Under the hood is 1.0 GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 1 GB of RAM. Its camera combo consists of a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for snapping selfies and video chat. 8 GB of internal storage is on board. It features a 1,940 mAh battery. Colour options include White and Indigo. It measures 131.9 x 66.7 x 8.9 mm. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.
LG is yet to announce the devices’ actual pricing, but it’s a dead cert that the two will not burn a hole through your pocket.
