Looking for more information of the upcoming LG G5? If so, we’ve got the information that you’ve been looking for, that’s if a new leak is to be believed of course.
LG G5 leaked specs
This new leak comes to us courtesy of a Reddit user that goes by the name of mobile_leaks. So without further ado, let’s get started on what the leakster has to reveal.
According to the leakster, who claims to have seen a prototype of the LG G5, the upcoming flagship will be clad in metal with shiny materials visible from holes found on the chassis. He also says that the device will likely feature a non-removable battery. Despite this, it is expected to feature a microSD card slot for additional storage options. This is refreshing news as most metal-clad smartphones do away with the feature. As for the screen, the LG G5 is said to feature a 5.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). Previous reports claimed that the LG G5 would feature a 5.5-inch or a 5.6-inch screen. Under the hood is said to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, coupled with 3 GB of RAM. This is not the first time we’ve heard that the device will feature the said CPU. This also makes a lot of sense, since various flagships are expected to feature the processor including the Samsung Galaxy S7. The photo above was leaked by mobile_leaks, and is said to be the rear-facing camera unit on board the LG G5. The dual camera setup is said to consist of a 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel sensor. It also features laser auto focus and a possible colour spectrum sensor (later not mentioned). He does mention, however, that a heart rate sensor will be on board. For snapping selfies and video chat, he mentions that the device will feature an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. As for the LG UI, the leakster says that an app drawer can no loner be found. Lastly, the leakster mentions that the LG G5 will feature an IR blaster on the top, a single speaker found on the back of the device, a reversible USB-C port, and a “pressure sensor.” It is yet to be determined if the “pressure sensor” measures atmospheric pressure or a pressure-sensitive screen (Force Touch).
Of course, since this is anything but official, take this information with a pinch of salt.
