According to a past reports, the LG G4, the South Korean smartphone maker’s next flagship, may sport a stylus, suggesting that it would be giving the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 a run for its money. A new report, however, is saying that this will not be the case, adding that a mid-range “LG G4 Stylus” will be available instead.
The image you see above shows LG trademarking the term “G4 Stylus” with the USPTO (US Patent & Trademark Office). The trademark application was spotted by MyLGPhones.
According to the site’s source, LG was originally planning to make the G4 sport a stylus, but decided against it at the last minute. Instead, LG reportedly will launch the LG G4 Stylus, follow-up to the LG G3 Stylus, a mid-range phablet that sports a stylus. The question is, does the LG G4 Stylus exist?
The screenshot above allegedly shows a document that reveals the existence of the G4 Stylus (model number LG-H631) under project code P1S. The device sports a screen (unknown size) with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The LG-H810 is also mentioned under project P1. This is believed to be the version of the LG G4 headed to US network operator AT&T.
Of course, since this is anything but official, take it with a pinch of salt.
