Tonino Lamborghini (founded by the son of the maker of the Lamborghini sports cars) is known for making luxury products, including luxury smartphones clad in premium materials. One of which is the Tonino Lamborghini Antares, which will set you back around £2,500. Although the smartphone is clad in premium materials, its hardware isn’t worth writing about. This, however, will not be the case with the company’s new Android smartphone, the Tonino Lamborghini 88 Tauri, which is scheduled to make its debut in early 2015, according to Russian-speaking Applelog.ru.
The Tonino Lamborghini 88 Tauri is said to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with each core clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with 3 GB of RAM under the hood, which is definitely respectable. Other specs include a 5-inch 1080p screen with an oleophobic coating and an accurate 10-point touch panel, a 3,400mAh battery (1,000 hours standby mode) to ensure everything’s running, a massive 20-megapixel rear-facing camera, and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera. It will run Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box.
Wait there’s more! Aside from the powerful specs mentioned above, the Tonino Lamborghini 88 Tauri supports two active LTE SIM cards. This will allow users to use one SIM card for LTE data and use the other for LTE calls.
The Tonino Lamborghini 88 Tauri will hit shops early next year in limited quantities. We are yet to find out pricing, but we’re pretty sure it will cost you an arm and a leg just like any other device made by the company.
