Following on from the release of the black edition of the new 2015 MOTO G from Motorola, two new colour schemes have now been released.
The white Motorola MOTO G 4G 2015 (3rd gen) has been launched with contract deals now available on EE 4G and Three Mobile as well as EE upgrade tariffs whilst the green MOTO G 2015 is an exclusive model to Dixons Carphone and is now available to order on EE 4G, iD Mobile, O2 and Vodafone as well as EE, Vodafone and O2 upgrade deals.
Whilst Carphone’s green edition MOTO G 3rd gen is being touted as an ‘exclusive’ it’s worth noting that it is simply the white model of the phone supplied with a green Motorola shell as it’s back casing.
Price differences?
The MOTO G 4G 3rd gen white can be picked up without an upfront price (free in mobile speak) from £14 a month on Three with 100 minutes of calls and 500MB of monthly data, not the most attractive tariff but good for low users.
The green Motorola MOTO G 4G 2015 is available from Carphone with no upfront cost from £15.50 line rental on iD Mobile (Carphone’s own virtual network) with 300 minutes of calls and 1GB of data each month.
New MOTO G features
Durability
The Motorola Moto G 4G 3rd Gen is designed to last as long as you need it to. A water-resistant, IPX7-rated coating means that accidental splashes and drops in the sink can be dried off. A Corning Gorilla Glass HD display protects your device from scrapes and scratches. And an all-day battery will allow you to keep going from morning till night.
Camera
Motorola Moto G 2015 arrives wielding one of the best-in-class 13-megapixel cameras. It’s complete with all the trimmings you could want, like an ultra-fast f2.0 lens for clear and quick images, a colour-preserving dual LED flash that retains more natural hues, and HDR for blending both light and dark tones for a perfectly balanced shot.
Experiences
Leave unnecessary software and ‘bloatware’ behind, Moto G 3rd Gen runs on a pure version of Android. It allows you to quickly glance at notifications and updates from the lock screen, and flick between music tracks too. Moto Assist helps manage your mobile by understanding where you are and what you’re doing. So, if you’re in a meeting, for example, it knows to switch your Moto G to silent.
Performance
A proficient Snapdragon processor and 1.4GHz quad-core CPU maintain a streamlined performance on Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen, whether you’re switching between apps or browsing the web at 4G speeds. And its 5-inch HD display offers crisp visuals, so everything you showcase looks that much more realistic.
