Earlier, a part of a promotional video for the BlackBerry Venice slider was leaked. Now another video of the unannounced smartphone has surfaced, showing off the device’s slide-out keyboard.

The video was leaked by Evan Blass (popularly known as @evleaks on Twitter). The serial leakster was also responsible for leaking the first video showing the BlackBerry Venice.
The new 5 second video shows how the physical QWERTY keyboard slides out of the device. Furthermore, you can see that the device is running Android. It is said that the BlackBerry Venice will run Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.
Specs-wise, we’ve learned from previous reports that the BlackBerry Venice will sport a 5.4-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (QHD). It is said to be curved just like the display of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. When it comes to photography, the Venice will not disappoint. It is said to sport an 18-megapixel rear-facing camera with IOS and a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera. Under the hood will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core (six cores) coupled with 3 GB of RAM.
As for software, one version is said to run Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with BlackBerry services slapped on top (as seen in the videos), while another is said to run BlackBerry 10 OS.
So when do we get to see the BlackBerry Venice make its official debut? According to Blass, all four major network operators in the US will be offering the smartphone in November. It is yet to be determined if the device will be sold in the UK, but we’re guessing it will.
The question is, will the BlackBerry Venice be a hit? The BlackBerry Passport proved to be a powerful tool, when enterprise came to mind. The BlackBerry Venice looks like it was designed more for the ordinary consumer. It seems that BlackBerry CEO John Chen has been making the right decisions, paving the way for BlackBerry back to road of profitability. So we’re guessing the Venice will help the Canadian phone maker get back in the green.
