The 30-second video, right off the bat, reaffirms that the BlackBerry Priv will still allow users to enjoy features exclusive to BlackBerry devices such as Blackberry Hub. BlackBerry Hub is where users find all of their messages, email, interactions via social media, and so much more.

The Blackberry Priv sports a 5.4-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). This works out to a pixel density of 540 ppi, which is the best screen ever found on a Blackberry device so far. The screen allows users to make use of a virtual keyboard. If you are a die-hard Berry fan who prefers a physical QWERTY keyboard, the Priv offers this feature as well. Its physical QWERTY keyboard slides out of the frame.

The video also reveals that the BlackBerry Priv sports a “colossal” 3,410 mAh battery, which it says offers around 22.5 hours of battery life (mixed use).

The video also lets us know that the BlackBerry Priv features an 18-megapixel Schneider-Kreuznach rear-facing camera with optical image stabilisation that can record videos in 4K.

Lastly, the video reveals more about DTEK, which is an early warning system that alerts you if your privacy has been compromised. Not only does the system monitor your smartphone, it also alerts you when you are at risk. Lastly, it offers suggestions on how to make your smartphone more secure.

Features not mentioned in the promotional video is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor (two cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, four cores clocked at 1.44 GHz, and an Adreno 418 GPU to handle graphics) under the hood, coupled with 3 GB of RAM. For your storage needs, the smartphone features 32 GB of memory. If this isn’t enough, you can always make use of a microSD card (as much as 2 TB). The Priv runs Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.

The BlackBerry Priv (SIM free) is available from BlackBerry UK for £559.00 (VAT included). It will start shipping out to peolple who pre-ordered the smartphone on the 9th of November.
